During a joint appearance on the Jay Shetty Podcast on Monday (March 24), Blanco revealed that when they first started working together, he was convinced that Gomez didn’t like him at all. “I thought she hated me, honestly,” he said, laughing, while Gomez smiled beside him. “I was thinking, ‘Wow, she doesn’t even talk to me. I thought I was being nice’… Obviously, 99% of it was in my head.”

In an attempt to “normalize” their interactions, Blanco admitted that he nearly placed himself in the friend zone. “I’d tell her, ‘I have so many great single friends, we do dinners at home all the time, you should come sometime,’” he recalled. “At the time, I wasn’t even thinking of anything romantic.”

Gomez explained that when the two began exchanging “their worst pictures,” their relationship took a surprising turn. “We were talking about funny pictures because I always say I take the worst photos,” she shared. “Maybe at first, it was just playful flirting, but eventually, I truly started falling for him.”
