Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco: A Love Story in Music
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are more than just a couple in love—they’re also creative partners in the music industry! The recently engaged duo has joined forces for their new collaborative album, I Said I Love You First, which was officially released on Friday, March 21.
The album features already popular singles such as Scared of Loving You, Sunset Blvd, Younger and Hotter Than Me, and Call Me When You Break Up, which includes a collaboration with Gracie Abrams. Additionally, the full tracklist boasts songs like Ojos Tristes, Don’t Wanna Cry, Cowboy, Bluest Flame, How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten, Do You Wanna Be Perfect, You Said You Were Sorry, I Can’t Get Enough, and Don’t Take It Personally.
In an interview with Apple Music host Zane Lowe, Gomez opened up about the unique experience of making music alongside her partner. “It was a little glimpse into who we are, how we created it together, and how much we enjoyed the process. We felt like it was something that just had to happen.”
Blanco, on his part, expressed his admiration for Gomez, stating: “She’s been through an incredible journey, both personally and health-wise, and despite all the challenges, she continues to inspire. She fears nothing—except losing someone with whom she’s finally found comfort. And somehow, fate put me in that position. I don’t know how, but it happened.”
The couple began dating in June 2023, and by the end of the year, they announced their engagement. On December 11, Gomez shared the joyous news on Instagram, posting a series of photos highlighting her stunning marquise engagement ring, captioning them with the heartfelt words: “Forever starts now…”
